Title: The EU's latest wheeze
Post by: STMO999 on 15 September 2009, 18:56:20
A Spanish man working for Madrid council was taken ill while on holiday. He claimed that, as he was ill, it shouldn't count as holiday leave but as sick leave and, as such, he was still entitled to his holiday.

'Dont be ridiculous', I hear you say. Well, an EU panel has agreed with him and British employers are bracing themselves...................... ;D ;D ;D ;D

I may be classed as a saddo but I've not had a sick day in over 12 years with current employer, apart from 2 weeks in traction after a bike accident at the end of Aug '99. That doesn't count though as I used my holidays up for that. (We have SSP only at work).
No time for "Pseudo Sick-Note" repeat offenders.  >:(
