I agree, throw it away and buy another one ::) personally I hate this 'throw away society' that we seem to have today, but technology is such that stuff is so cheap, relatively, to produce and for the most part not easily repaired :( not like our day when you fixed your TV by replacing a valve.... :D :D
I wouldn't be surprised if the cost of just having it looked at may be pretty steep to start with.
