How is that coolant leak?

Have you got any antifreeze in the car yet?  ::)

Hmmmm...

Some loss evident after today's morning run.......  had to put in a Litre of water in to top it up this afternoon.

however after another run, looked underneath and there was no sign of a drip........ and the level was still at the line, BUT, at the line while HOT , and it was cold when I filled it to the line earlier....  presumably there may be some difference when it cools...    it does appear to be holding pressure though.... but not excessively so...

what there WAS was a noise like a stuck fan motor, or electric pump or something coming from the front of the engine....  not certain it's the fan since Mark showed it to spin freely....  but it was running hotter than it did when we were testing at the weekend, or than yesterday in the rush hour as well... .,... might it be the aux pump??

also there's a lot of dried on white residue all over the shop at the front of the engine....

I'll show Jaime and get his opinion when i drop his tools off.......

Fraid not old bean....  The Stat and transfer pipe took longer than we hoped...  I had my Bro and family  over to go through building plans for work, and we ran out of time really, James had Gf and child and dog along as well...  so it wasn't as simple as simply spending an extra couple of hours....

Max, I over filled it a tad.. it's possible it will loose a bit through the pressure cap, until it "finds its own level"

It may also have taken some coolant in, we did empty a lot in, it may have had an airlock etc.

Unless it goes so low that you have to add coolant... I wouldn't be too concerned, if it's not dripping....

Have you had to add any coolant?
