Title: cheap Cobra (beer not AC) heads up

returning from work i popped into tesco for milk - and 660ml bottles of Cobra beer (my favourite) were going for £1!!!!! the BIG...more than a pint bottles!!!!! - i filled my boots (they only had 2 boxes of 12 left) so grab the deal while you can  :y

Less than a pound a pint pub prices now them were the days. :)

actually - i was at college in Paisley when St Mirren won the FA Cup (the scottish one) in the mid eighties, all the pubs in Paisley(and theres loads) were selling pints at the prices they were when the Saints last one....1920's or 30's if i remember. anyway, the upshot was 2p a pint  ;D ;D ;D over 20 yrs ago and i remember it like yesterday  :( (thats the scotsman in me i guess!!)

When I was about 15 I used to go to a night club in Chester called Angels, they used to have a 50p a pint night on a Wednesday, it was bad trying to get up for school in the morning though ::)

I remember a rock club in Plymouth which had a scrumpy happy hour and normal price was 50p a pint dropped to 25p - great night for £1.35 all in.

4 pints, 1 space invaders, 1/2 pint at 11 and free entry!

I used to go to the shop with 50p, got pop, crisps, chocolate bars, 20 fags, and a bottle of scotch. Can't do it now though!!
