Title: How do they work?
Post by: Del Boy on 01 October 2009, 18:42:59
My son wants to go to the midnight launch of Fifa 10 as he's a football nut and because it's only 26 quid. I'm gonna take him when I get in from work, how do they work just go in and pay as per usual?

i remember getting GTA IV for myself at midnight on release day - massive queue and limited stock - but some folk were buying multiple copies to sell for profit - which i pointed out to the staff to no avail

the release date was linked to the tills so they physically couldn't scan it until the clock struck midnight (thats what they told me anyway sounded like bs)  :o

Knowing our luck we'd queue up for ages only to find that they run out of stock all the more reason to go in the morning  ;D

Ignoring the queues, you just go in & pay.

However, the full ISO has been on the NG's for the last 2 weeks...and it doesn't cost £26 and a "camping night out" to download it  ;)

You think that Live doesn't work when you insert your backup copy of the game and sign on?

No it does work, but if he were to get caught console, gamertag banned he said. I'd rather risk paying 26 quid than paying for a new Xbox  :y

If you do the job (and the disc copy) properly, then you can't get caught ;)
