Don't be such a wus Tunnie - get yourself some waterproofs and go for a spin. ::) ;D

Been a lovely day up here in South Yorkshire. Have been out for a spin and seen some okd and some interesting cars takeing benefit from the good weather, plenty of bikes out as well.
Seen an MG Metro Turbo, Triumph Dolomite Sprint, Scimiter Convertable and even a Triupth Stag, think it was the T/top convertable one, was travelling a bit quick though. oh and an E Type.
-
Talking of Scimiter's, there was a member on here dropping a Miggy V6 lump in one, anyone heard how it's going on.
-
Its been lovely and sunny here too, only problem is i'm decorating :(
Who was it said "whoever invented decorating wants f***ing" or was it "whoever invented f***ing was decorating" :D

got some Gortex D-Dry trousers and jacket, but biking in the rain is no fun.
It was fine this morning, but since lunch time, nothing but rain :(

You big girl's blouse, I cycle to and from work in this. Only snow and ice stops me for obvious reasons....

Riding in the rain teaches you a lot about the handling/limits of the machine at relatively low speeds, imo its something that everyone who rides should have experience off. That said I dont do a lot of it these days (plays up the arthritis)but I did do the 17 miles home from work this morning in the rain.Dont have any wet gear but it was either that or walk. ;D
Its surprising how quick you can ride in the wet as long as you keep it smooth and read the road as far ahead as possible.
-
Falling off hurts more when your wet and cold :-/
-
Nah,you will be going slower and the wet road wont take as much skin off as a dry one would. :y ;D

I concur, having had several accidents in both. It does initially hurt more when you're wet and cold but the wet skin/road results in less skin loss on contact. At least thats what I have experienced after around half a dozen accidents over 18 years.

i would cycle to Uni in all weathers a few years ago, but that was because i was saving money and time so worth while.
Going out on the motorbike is for fun only :)

Theres a bit of a difference between riding a treader and riding a motorcycle.

I cycle in rain no probs, but as you say 1200cc compared to 1 human power is a big difference

My early years of biking were in N.Ireland, you cant really choose to not ride in the rain there. You wouldnt ride at all if you did. :D ;D
