Title: Don't tell your Council anything
Post by: Selseybill on 08 October 2009, 16:52:31
Councils refuse to give you any information, always stating the data protection act but if you send them a email or letter they give your details to everyone. Our Council have been asked for a statement regarding a taxi touting court case that our local taxi association is doing. The Council contacted me to ask if i saw anything on the night which i truthfully answered yes,now every driver, company owner has my full details inc address, name ,home number, mobile number and emaill addy, inside leg.
Since the Council done their report i have had my car damaged twice and i receive about 10 emails a day with threats. The council tells me they haven't broken the act and the Police are as good as a soggy tampax.
So if you tell your Council anything, only do it by phone never in ink cause the world will know your details next week.

Not looking to urinate on your camp fire Bill (I love it when the little guy wins), but unless you can prove your details have been passed on then I can't see you having a case.
