And I'Ve climbed the mast, but not quite to the 'Button' (top)........ :D :D :D It was such a long time ago but seems, in many way's, like yesterday, a lifestyle that would have many of today's 'Chavs' running in tears to their mummy..........Believe me, and I thing they should bring it back... Why pay the dole when you can pay them to do 'Jump'  HMS Ganges style, which makes 'Full Metal Jacket' style initial training look pussy....

Funny you should say that, in our village they are trying to get me onto the school governors via the church, as there is some suspicion regarding the voting of parent governors.  I came 3rd out of 2 wanted, and there were more votes than kids, long story..... ::) ::) ::)

I was rather thinking of some of our younger members.... :-X

i can just remember by brothers passing out parade in 1970 and he had to climb to the button
then he left for Hong Kong for 4 yrs

if i can find the site again the are pics of how it looks now very interesting

I went to The Royal Hospital School so know Ganges quite well :y :y :y

It's in a real state at the moment, which is very sad :( :(
