Title: Computer help USB HDD
Post by: Martin_1962 on 14 October 2009, 22:43:17
I have a laptop HDD based USB hard drive and I cannot get the PC to access it.

Takes hours to reboot if plugged in, computer management rarely sees it. Device Manager can see it.

I can access it OK from both the Humax HDR and the PS3 and I have a large number of radio programmes I want to copy to the PC.

Anyone any ideas?

are you using the original cable..?

does xp say "installing the driver"

dismantling it and connecting bare may be a choice..but you may need some extra bits..
