For the first week (I think) you are immune from attack so I concentrated on population and building in equal amounts timber, stone, iron and food but i've since found out you need more timber than the other 3.

Only problem is you restart your city when you change server.

Now you are formally joining the battlefields of Evony. This is a competitive world. You never know when your enemies will come to your city gate. Therefore countermeasures must be made to secure your realm. It's recommended that you upgrade the Walls and build more fortified units, making it a great cost to those who lay their eyes upon your territory. In initial phase, your troops are far from enough to edge out the rivals, therefore you are also advised to build more Warehouses to preserve the resources from plundering.

I need to build walls so I can advance, but it does not tell me what I need to build/aquire before that.

I am trying to upgrade the Town Hall from level 2, but I need to build the walls 1st.

Mouse over the upgrade button and it will tell you.

Thats how I know I need the walls, But I cant get the info I need to build the walls, when I hover I get nothing , if I click I get the error message but the upgrade button does not appear as the walls are not built yet.
