Title: Postal strike ,,,,,,,,,
Post by: I_want_an_Omega on 27 October 2009, 16:19:11
Ok, some stuff I sent yesterday afternoon by ordinary fist class post arrived over 300 miles away this morning.

Fantastic - but I'm still waiting for stuff that I know was sent during the middle of last week.

I guess they are clearing the backlog out in reverse order .....  :(

Apparently the backlog is languishing in warehouses and being filtered in as time allows

If this was the GRO they wait until the certificate is ready for dispatch before charging the card.  They also have this infuriating habit of saying it will be 20 days ... and then they wait the 20 days and do it on the last day!!!

I say this because I have ordered dozens of certificates over the years and each time it has taken exactly the time scale they predicted!
