Put a sign on the door saying 'man trap store' and then store some man traps inside. :y

Not wanting to cause worry-but there was a spate of outbuilding thefts where the crooks waited until the stolen items were replaced on insurance and then went back again for the new stuff  >:(

CCTV is cheap enough to install and offers some justice-and peace of mind.  Landmines are more extreme  ;D

Sorry to hear your news-hope your wife is ok  :y

Often its not the stuff going which hurts-its the indignance of your property being breached, the feeling of being violated and the worry of future issues.

Justice does redress the balance so catch 'em on CCTV  :y

I'm sorry to hear about your loss.

Just a thought, why not get your saddles visibly marked with your name and post code, burnt into the leather. So if someone is offered a 2nd hand saddle, they will wonder why the post codes don't match. If everyone did this, and all marked in the same place, alterations would be obvious and a sure sign that something's wrong.

At a previous garage job, I bought a load of spanners. I welded my initials on all of them, so easily identifiable if they "walk".
