Certainly more than I would be willing to pay.

Its a good spec but similar cars can be had for circa £5 - £6 k elsewhere.   The following are not 3 litre cars, but are an example?

You can certainly get similar cheaper......

Yep too expensive....

Mines a 03 plate....altho 2.2 CD ....but is an estate which commands a premium....

I paid 8k for it 16 months ago.....which was about right at the time imo....

I would have thought max £7k if its spot on

I paid £4,100 for my silver 3.2 saloon Elite in January with 88k miles, so this is far too over priced.

I've seen 3.2's going for even less than what I paid but with similar mileage.  Problem will be finding one with this sort of mileage at a good price.  Aren't they usually snapped up by dealers, then valeted before applying a 50% mark up?

Though in the dealers defence, he does generally only sell Omega's so I would hope he knows all about the Omega's issues, things like the replacing the tensioner and rollers etc.

I agree it's over priced but on the +ve side it's a late plate, low mileage car with a decent warranty, on the -ve side it would be nice if it had the colour screen and was cheaper!

That's well over priced. With a little bit of ferreting around, I found this one:

OK, red's not everyone's favourite colour, but IIRC "red" in the case of Omegas means a sort of metallic ruby colour rather than a pillar box red. Vast difference in price, though!  :y
