Hayes has just beaten Valuev the Rusiian giant - truely a shock result. :o :o

i had valuev at evens before the fight, haye was slight favourite, but i reckoned that was just optimistic uk punters  :(

congratulations tho - he looked good, hopefully that opens doors in the US for him as he's a good-looking exciting boxer.....usually, i heard he broke his hand on valuevs head early on - said it was like punching rock so that may have led to a more cautious approach  :y

I watched it nand no way did HE WIN IT!!!! whatn a shocking result he spent all the rounds except the last one running backwards!!

i was watching it too, and valuev was coming forward all the time, but not landing many punches, you have to come forward and be productive to score afaik

Been to the pub with a few mates to watch it, not one of us thought Hayes deserved to beat Ivan Drago Valuev. :-?
Too much dancing around and going backwards.
