It appears that SWMBO's contract phone is ready to for an upgrade, which coincides nicely with the failed float test on my Nokia 6300 ;D ;D ;D
Her My new phone will be a 6303. So ..... I'll ask the question I asked when I got my 6300 hand-me-down .... any recommendations on where or not to send it for unlocking from its current provider to mine? It seems the place I sent my old phone is no longer. :-? :y
Do I even need to send it off? Can it be unlocked with a code?
Or should I just take it to Mohamed on Bury market? ::) ::) :y

dodgy geezers down the market....

services such as this
http://www.mobileunlocksolutions.com/
are all over the net. I must stress i have not used this particular one. But have used similar for other phone models a while back and have worked very well and been very cheap.
Trouble is not all models seem to work in the same way it seems. The phones i have been able to unlock i have done so from the comfort of my own living room. Wouldnt go near the Market frankly. Just as easy brick your phone as run off with it.
IME its a case of finding a site that can cope with your particular model. And as usual, at your own risk. Networks such as orange have been known to charge 30 sobs plus for what is a simple code generated from your phones imei number. Afaik anyway. Hth

More than one version of that handset, some can be unlocked by a code genererated from certain details, others have to be flashed.
In order to tell you what applies to you, I'd need to know the IMEI, firmware revision, and the current service provider.
I'll tell you now, do NOT post the IMEI in public....and don't give it to me if you think I'm untrustworthy.

All operators do web bolt ones, most are a tenner a month :y
I use it all the time in London finding places, also use Google MyTracks, which is a GPS logger. Take the dogs out for a walk, get a nice overlay on google maps, with tones of data, usefull when your just out for a wonder and find a nice bit :)

I used to work with a guy in Guildford called David.
Turned out he was a bit of a nonce...the Sun did an article one day on the top 10 most dangerous kiddie fiddlers, and he was ranked no: 4 :o :o
Before it became public knowledge what his predilictions were, he used to take delight in telling us how he went walkabout and encountered certain things as well :o

Not sure whether smiley Smilies were correct for the context! >:( >:( >:( would be more appropiate! ;) ;) ;)
-
Make no mistake mate, If I knew I'd get away with it, I wouldn't hesitate to top the dirty nonce bastard.
I do believe however the smileys I used were in context.......shocked when we read the paper and saw his face....and truly shocked that he had the brass balls to tell us of his perving exploits AFTER the fact.
You know what REALLY galled me though?
After the story broke, every single last employee was pulled and told that if anybody gave the nonce any stick...it would be them out of the door >:( >:( >:(

Nice thought, but if it went to that stage then I know I wouldn't be able to stop at the old "walking in to the door".

A phone without tinternet? What bloody use is that? Come on Andy keep up.;)
Although to be honest, probably not worth bothering on that model.
Most contracts worth their salt throw in free data anyway. Or are included for the total price i should say.....unlimited data not unreasonable on the right hand set. If wifi enabled, free oofing. :-)
Hope thats not stating the obvious.
