Title: The Boneyard
Post by: Olympia5776 on 11 November 2009, 00:29:37
Absolutley fascinating series of vids on the American aircraft storage facility in Arizona. Lots of interesting facts on most of the aircraft built post WW2 .
In four parts and 40mins long but immensely entertaining.

I'll check this out, thanks. I always liked looking at it from the satellite views and trying to work out what some of the planes were when you zoomed in.

You're right enough there D, very impressive infrastructure to maintain this facility.

Davis Monthan is a fascinating place .. visited it a couple of times when still "in".

It's in the desert, is quite high up, its bloody dry ... and about 5 miles from the main gate is a bloody great boat yard ... selling all sorts of boats from little dinghies to great big cruisers !!!!!!

Never did work that one out !!!!

:)
