Title: Peeing advice from the National Trust
Post by: Nickbat on 13 November 2009, 12:09:53
"Men should urinate outside on their compost heaps to help fertilise their gardens and save on flushing the lavatory, the National Trust has urged."

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/6554958/Urinate-on-the-compost-heap-to-save-the-planet-says-the-National-Trust.html

Is there no end to this madness?

I have always peed on my compost heap, that along with acquiring plenty of worms ensures a lovely compost :y

Next spring, it will be interesting to see whether the NHS has had to deal with any unusual cases of frostbite.

Not to mention exposure... :)

By the way I do this for good compost not to reduce flushing as I normally have to flush twice for a no 2 anyways ::)

No madness at all Nick, urine is good for compost heaps, and saving water is allways good.

I have done it when noone was looking.

Of course, I'm sure it's fine and dandy for the compost. In essence, I don't have a problem with "natural" organic additives. ;)

Actually, I made an error in the original post. It was the mad headline that I meant to draw attention to. I pasted it along with the first part of the story, then it looked like a duplication, so I cut the headline.

This is the madness:
Urinate on the compost heap to save the planet says the National Trust

To save the planet????
. ;)  :D
