Strikes me as a valuable innovation
Anything that helps to reduce crime & is effective is acceptable

Maybe 2012 is true, the majority have certainly developed (and mastered) the required stupidity level to make ourselves extinct in that timeframe.

I am somewhat of a dinosaur.  I don't tweet, book a face, blog anything, use youtube (other than links posted to me...) bebo or similar, other than on here or texting to friends and family.  Even then, texts are proper words, not text speak.

That said, there are a lot of folks out in the big bad world who do use alternate means of communication and perhaps it is only by using any and all available media to contact these folks about crime and its prevention/detection that inroads can continue into said prevention/detection.

Unless you do not want crime figures (real, not created/adapted) to fall....

A very fair point H, intelligence is just as important irrespective of the means of delivery :y :y
