Once again trash tv. It's not funny, not offensive but not funny. How can a P O O F a fat ugly bird & a no mark yank be considered entertainment?
It's really beyond me. You're an intelligent successful bloke Mark, get a grip FFS!!!! ::) :)

Well, i thought it was funny, but then i used to watch the Graham Norton shows. I also used to like watching Dom Jollie of Trigger Happy TV fame  :y

Incidently, I took Dom Jollie to London a month or so ago....as he lives not far from Swindon  :y

i don't really like him either, the warning was that it would 'offend lesbians' just annoys me you can hardly say anything now, without someone complaining.

Heh heh --- I got into hot water a while back with my ex ( who sports a funny hairstyle these days!). We were walking along the street and she pointed out a leather clad, short haired female walking towards us as one of here new friends and asked me what I thought  ::)  My reply was that I thought she looked like a "screaming dyke" --- unfortunately I was overheard and heavily berated. My response was "But, she IS a screaming dyke!" .... can't bl**dy win!!

Anyways -- nothing he said should have given offence. Sheesh, I am an overweight, bearded, baldy old git who likes rock music and is slightly disabled ---- nobody on TV could say anything without touching on one of my deficiencies --- but do the management spring to my defence ?? Erm ... nope.

Another example of people with no lives trying to impinge on those that do.

paraphrasing Rowan Atkinson (again) ;"it is more important to have the right to offend than to be offended". Where would comedy be if there were no butts for the jokes? Besides, surely comedy only works if there is actually more than a grain of truth in what it says...and I'd probably go further and argue that a country's tolerance of satire is an indication of how free its citizens can be. Ah well, getting too serious now....and all over some gay Irish feller whose finest hour was probably as the priest who was desperate to show how young and hip he was in that episode of Father Ted

I think if you listen to this type of entertainment, you will be aware it could be "edgy"

Graham Norton has been covering Steve Wright on Radio2 last week and although I onced found him mildly amusing at times, last week Radio2 just made me shudder-it was uncomfortably poor!

Not sure who these were but if Dawn French - well she can be funny.

GN - not a fan.

I think the point is the P in front of forum initials is famous for what he is not what he does.

It's not the "poof" word that gets on my tits Martin, it's the context that some (obvious) neanderthals are using it in that gets up my nose mate.

I call them what they are if I need to - I use the offical term - gay means happy!

I think it is lack of education or no exposure.

But I think the extremists have made it worse for the ordinary homosexual

Peter Tatchell springs to mind. You could be the most tolerant person in the world, but that bastard would soon turn you anti.
