Title: It's been a long time since i...
Post by: Amigo on 22 November 2009, 19:56:36
Ordered a take away. I cook & eat plenty of Indian, not really into the pizza/kebab/burger scene so Chinese it is.
Immingham have 4 chinkies & only one delivers which fortunately is also a restaurant so the food is good.
Sweet & sour pork balls in batter,
1 crispy pancake roll (these are huge)
& Stir fried Bamboo shoots with water chestnuts.
Waiting the the doorbeell to ring....yummy! :P

'Sick as a pig' with envy here.......no dial-up take-aways hereabouts (nearest is a 16 mile `round trip)....so, if Debs` doesn`t cook supper, it doesn`t get cooked. :'(

If you cook your own, you know what's in it ;)

I can cook Indian, not just curries but onion bhajees, dahl, roti, prawn puris, bombay aloo/sag & gobi & samosas (although they fall apart, more method practice needed)
Chinese is more limited. Chinese curry & egg fried rice is easy, i can do satay(mmm)& Lemon chicken. The rest is trial & error.
Staple ingredients are beef, pork, chicken, prawns, light soy sauce, garlic, ginger, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots & water chestnuts, add broccoli, baby sweetcorn to any of the above & you have a healthy stir fry.
Get the wok out & have a go, Guy Ferkin' Ramsey!! :P

Stop it, Guy! You're making me feel hungry. I'll end up eating my peanut butter sandwiches before lunch time. ::)
