Police or highways?

.....
who do I get on to on Monday? .....
vauxhall parts dept! ::)
-
All three. ;D ;D
Do not wait till Monday. :-?
Tell the Police straight away as a more serious accident could happen, i do not mean when you find the so and so who left it there.
The Police will get the on call local council out to remove and then you can take a claim out against the council using the report number from the Police as evidence. Remember to add out of pocket expenses to the claim. :y

same thing happend to my dad... 65 ish on a country road, branch sticking out, BANG!!! - Mirror totally gone :o
He bought one from Vx at retail price :o ( was before we found this place )
-
Should have mentioned the t.runk was part of the hedge cut off and dumpedd at a funny angle - I pushed it in but the place looked a dive so didn't want to investigate
-
I did the same on a dustbin left sticking into the road :-[ Luckily I only broke the glass and got a stick-on.
-
Did the same myself when I first got Omega. Fortunately in my case it was only the glass, so firly cheap.
However, I did not persue anyone, as you shouldn't be sticking the mirror in a hedge (or anywhere else you can't see) anyway imho. Or if you do due to not enough space, should be going slow enough where the worse that happens is the mirror folds...
-
similar scenario to this up here in Scotland today :(
Got up to a very flat tyre on wifes veccy - turns out theres a huge pile of glass about a mile down the road - on the road - that she tried to dodge last night,
Wonder who is paying for that ...... yep me rather than the roads department :(

It was sticking out - it had claimed a few before mine

No but nor did a lot of other drivers.
The A pillar doesn't help too much either!
I will inform highways tomorrow but will be a waste of time as I reported kerb stones dumped on a verge and they were never moved until I stopped and moved them - the owner was not too happy so I abuse him regularly. ;D (And forced him onto his own kerb stones!)
I reported they because they ripped the front wheel of a Renault Scenic :o

I'm gutted for him - but look on the bright side -- he rid the world of a fester :y

I think, certainly from Agencies PoV, you have nobody else to blame....

I scrapped the side of my meega the other day.....against the bumper of a 4x4 legally parked at the side of the road (just got too close to it :( ) my meega now has a lovely big 1/2 foot wide scrap starting on the nearside rear door and finishing on the rear wing :'(
Can I sue the 4x4 owner? :-/ ::)
