Well i`ve tried to find a cheap and decent miggy and have given up after being let down twice now with sales on ebay...So i`ve widened the search and placed a bid on a Citroen xm 2.0 sei 1992 k plate as its cheap in good nick and has mot and tax to tide me over till into the new year plus i`ve owned a bx before and that was a cracking car any body know of any issues apart from them being french(lol)???? ebay number 160381743501 :y oh and plus i`ve just had an insurance quote of £220 fully comp on it!!!! :o 8-)

Can't go far wrong at that price, especially if the mileage is correct!
-
Do the same checks you would on a BX... Especially the suspension :y
They're pretty good cars for the age normally IMHO.
-
Nothing wrong with a Citroen, I have one...... :D :D :D
Insurance looks dear to me though, why go fully Comp on a car that price? just a thought... :-/

I think thats cheap for somebody like me vamps, plus they give me full rac breakdown cover and legal protection and courtesey car and other odds and sods plus i like the reasurance of not dropping further into the sh*t the way my lucks gone this year... ;)

first, wouldn't buy jack through gay bay over 500 odd quid, and certainly not a car. Minefield. But having never done it can't really comment, much. :-)
Second. Would never buy a Citroen, and certainly not an xm. Minefield. My Dad had one and it spent its entire life in the garage with electrical faults broke down on numerous occassions. It was car of the year or towing car of the year iirc when it came out. Then flopped due to said electrics.
Third. Vamps has a Citroen.......i'll leave it there i think. ;D

Must admit, went out in loads of rain on Sunday and all the 'lights came on on the dash' several EML type things and a huge sign saying 'Service' and handbrake not working......drove it for a while, stopped it and restarted and all has been fine since. I would hope so mind as it is only 2 years old..... ::) ::) ::)

French quality at it's finest. ;D

Buying cars on the bay is a minefield I must admit but I've bought several on there, including the Miggy, without problems. I suppose it may be because I ask lots of questions!
The only one I had a problem with was the Rangie and TBH I probably wouldn't have bought it if it hadn't been an impulse buy! ::) I stumbled upon it with under 2 minutes to run and it was quite cheap!
As posted above... It's normally the electrics that let French cars down!

Our Picasso has given us 3 years of trouble free motoring so far; at 66k it has had nothing spent on it apart from servicing/tyres etc. :y
We bought it at 25k :)

I gave my 1993 ZX 1.9D Auto to my son at 119,000miles back in 2003 & he ran it until the HG went at 215,000 last June!! :D :D :D :y
