Brings back memories! The album was some time ago now wasnt it? I remember seeing David Gray supporting Ian McNabb years ago when they both did acoustic sets. IMO McNabb is one of the most under-rated singer/songwriters we have and a bit of a legend.Remember I went with a mate to see him years back and we'd had a few and my mate needed a p*ss and shouted out this fact to Ian who obligingly stopped his set while my mate quickly dashed to the gents!A year or so back he also organized coming round to play an acoustic set at your house for the price of a bed and a few bevvies. Like I said, the mans a legend :y

I can take or leave David Gray but he's dinner party dull in my view. Forgettable. As for what most of the chart buying public like i'd say 90% of it is industry churned out bilge & says it all of the uk record buying/downloading public's lack of taste. All forgotten a year or two later.
Not to mention the tv viewing with all the come dancing no talent can't believe i'm not famous get me off the telly.
How sad is getting excited about that? I think the only lasting artist :-/ to come from such crap is Will Young & i can't stand the whimpering sap! >:(
The more folk watch such purile tosh the more pennies your'e putting in Simon Cowells pockets. It's all industry driven & he laughs at you all the way to the bank.
I admit i've seen one or two of the early stages where the hopeless/ugly/deluded come on, get laughed at & kicked off. Now that is worth watching!!! :-/

Have liked Def Leppard for years; good stuff. ;D
David Gray has the same effect on me as Morrissey; he makes me feel depressed. :(

Morrisey is deliberately depressing, that's the point, check out early Smiths stuff. David Gray is'nt so much depressing as downright bland. Probably why we hear no more from him much nowadays short lived.
   Morrisey will always gig.
