Just used a 'When I was a Lad' line, relating to wearing wellies and shorts in the snow to school, relating to what Miss Vamps is wearing tomorrow. swmbo in a little huff......... ::) ::)

Nooo. The shorts is what I had to wear for school, in winter we added welly boots. All I said was that here Jean's, non uniform day, would not get wet on the bottom if she wore wellies rather than her hiking boots, other option would be to tuck Jeans in long socks till she got to school. The point is the 'when I was a lad' we all swore we would never say such thing and we all do and swmbo is huffy about it, again.. :D :D :D

I walked to Primary school in shorts in all weathers (when i were a lad) I doubt Gordon would allow such child abuse nowadays.
The other thing you're no longer allowed to say is "never did me any harm"....roll eyes smilie.

Are you referring to those wooden 'Skolls' shoe things that Mum's wore, and yes they can hurt...... :D
