Title: Google gone annoying
Post by: Martin_1962 on 18 December 2009, 21:01:36
Go to their search engine and the menus do not appear, wave your mouse then you can use news search.

What a blue LED idea >:( >:(

Utter crap

Yahoo is now full of crud so is unpleasant to use.

However alta-vista is still clean and clear.

Funny to see the original search engines are still in the game. :y

Using FF, It's pants .. nothing appears until your mouse pointer is on the "main" screen then it all fades in. Then it works as it used to.

It wasn't broken but they've tried to fix it .. and gone backwards into design over function crap

Only seems to have started since the "upgrade" to 3.5.6 ... but could be coincidence

:(

A lot of people dislike it.

I find it disturbing - like I find animated menus disturbing

For searching, I find this site quite useful http://www.ixquick.com/uk/

Especially if searching for something, unusual shall we say.  :y

I need to change IE8 back to 6 on my home PC - work is IE6 or FF3 - the email/fax client requires IE6

Nope - google think it is cool to slow down email newsgroup and news searches.

I use gooogle at work mainly to search news and newsgroups.

My work PC is pretty old but plenty of RAM it does development fast enough.
