Title: Combi Boiler help needed.

When i turn hot water tap on boiler doesnt fire up. Checked water pressure and thats ok Also centrel heating working ok. Any ideas what could be wrong. Thanks.

Isn't there a flow switch somewhere in a combi boiler set up?

Had the same problem myself a few weeks back. Changed the diaphragm...job's a good 'un!  :y :y

sounds like it is the diapram  split the fow switch is in front of it. What make is the boiler might be able to help diaganose the prob  ::) :y

Boiler make Ariston. Cant find a model number though. Also lost instruction booklet.

how old is it ? but it will be the dipharm or hot water sensor also kown as a thermistor :y

Not sure how old only moved in in May. Every thing was working fine untill this cold spell.

if u put the heating on u should get hot water mine did that and worked that way till it got fixed:-)

Either flow switch,diverter valve or heat exchanger,and if its the heat ex,maybe cheaper in the long run to scrap the boiler,especially if its an old one. :y

If its a combi then its probably the pressure diapram in the flow switch

Got someone coming out tomorow.  Hope there in the Christmas spirit & settle for a mince pie & a few cans. Had to get a new washing machine a couple of weeks ago. Everything seems to go wrong this time of year.
