Title: Tidy potential long term classsic
Post by: hotel21 on 23 March 2007, 17:13:49
Did an e-bay search on one of my usual search parameters and up popped the following car.  20 plus years old, 46k miles with service history, 3 owners from new and bodywork looks remarkably good for its age.  Its the 2.5 litre straight six with those really really good velour seats.  If it was the 3 litre and I had the time and space, would certainly give it a much closer look.

Senny A (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=015&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=250095294636&rd=1&rd=1)

Anyone else fancy one?

iirc J/K/L Jetronic were fuel injection systems, unlike motronic which was engine management...

Motronic did the lot, but Jetronic was a bit pants. My dad came across them both quite a few years ago and didn't think much of Jetronic, yet liked Motronic, he had to repair the things!

Nice car, I had its older brother, a Vx Royale 2.8 briefly (6 days before bus wrote it off...his fault!). Nice, with great velour seats as I recall.

No, the "classic" I want is a 3.6 (Irmscher special) Monza with manual box!  :)

Alas finding one that the tin worm hasn't destroyed is difficult.... then there will be the little matter of price!  :o
