Title: Waltzing Fiesta
Post by: Turk on 02 January 2010, 13:07:14
Enroute to work this morning I felt the steering wheel go light as I was going through a long A road bend and thought to myself...there's gonna be a fair few accidents today.
I glanced in my mirror to see the Fiesta behind me spinning gracefully down the white line and come to stop at right angles to the direction of travel. He/she didn't hit anything, but I suspect clean underpants were high on their priorities.

I suppose it could have been disasterous.

Noticed a bit of a sheen on a dual carriageway @ about 50 MPH a couple of winters back. Dabbed the brakes and - yep, black ice. Just let it coast back to 20 MPH or so. Meanwhile, a BMW 3 series came past me at about 80. :o

Sure enough, a couple of bends later I noticed a solitary yellow light flashing. BMW had been the ball in an expensive game of pinball with the barriers acting as flippers. Total write off - except for that one yellow light.

Stopped to make sure the bloke was OK and almost fell on my @rse as soon as I got out of the car. BMW driver was the normal arrogant W@**er so didn't get the offer of sitting in my warm car while waiting for the tow truck. >:( His car's days of generating warmth had certainly been curtailed. ;D

Followed a double decker bus back the remaining 7 or 8 miles to town - at about 15 MPH. Even that would occasionally lose the back end and end up drifting along both lanes with a load of opposite lock on. :D
