the snows about a foot deep now +/- a little bit.BUT the worsted thing is that the schools are closed where my two go.So that's another day of ear ache ::) ::)

Kids' school decided to close after about half an hour of piddly fine snow today - stopped now, can't be more than 2mm in depth, absolutely pathetic >:(

zippo, just wondering, do you go west bound on the m56 regularly at between 9 and 10am? Keep seeing the same Omega on my run to work.
Yep I don't think I'll be heading in tomorrow either. They are busy saying on the weather that they are worried in that everything that is coming down will freeze..... so thats a foot of snow or so down my road in Manc.

Same here the local school closed at lunch time even though there was only about 2" of snow and it had stopped. The reason was so the teachers could drive home. Awww bless, bloody light weights >:( When I were a lad we had to go to school and home again in up to 18" of snow. Also if the heating at school broke down we didn't get sent home, we were allowed to keep our coats on in class. No wonder so many kids nowadays are wimps!

yeah, its pathetic isnt it. I still have to get to work with a 25mile journey yet the schools seem to close at the slightest hint of bad weather and then you have to sort out the childcare at short notice >:(
