Post by: alunonhisown on 06 January 2010, 19:59:26
Any ideas folks how often a belt needs changing on a Fusion?
I think it is a 1.4 diesel
57 Plate.
70000 Miles approx
Any advice will be appreciated, is my son's car and he wants to get an Omega for himself.

Just checked my autodata discs, but they only go upto 2004. It's listing the 02-04 model fusion 1.4tdci as 150,000 or 10 years for a belt change. Seems a tad optimistic...

Vauxhall V6 engines were originally (I seem to recall) 80K before cam belt and kit wanted doing until Vx got so many complaints that they lowered the figure to half that.
