Title: Sky Channel 369
Post by: cruisetopoland on 07 January 2010, 19:19:52
oMusic channel Sky 369; found it by accident and really got into this recently.  Worth a look  :y

A great alternative to the radio and plays classical and contemporary pieces with video-many with superb scenery.

We find it is great to have on when relaxing-you can chat over it, read and look up at it when you feel like it or watch it constantly-not intrusive but enjoyable.

It can get a bit repetitive as I think they run out of suitable material so play certain pieces every day-but has been a great find.

Just heard a piece by new classical composer Chris Smith and searched it and found his CD on ebay-the piece shown was a tribute to Dmitri Shostakovich and was superb.

I believe I have found the anti-dote to some of the other cack on the television!!

Prefer Sky 353 and 354 myself, allways on when nothing worth watching.

I like the fact that many of the artists are new to me and very talented-plus some of the videos are superb.

One or two pieces are odd (like the primal mud one!!) but the modern take on old pieces, plenty of Mozart and Rachmaninov and some new pieces make a great mix.
