Title: OOF differences with Firefox and I.E8

Can anyone give me any pointers please as to why things work on Firefox but not IE8 and vice versa when looking at OOF?

For example I can only post on IE8. There aren't any buttons visible on Firefox when I log in. Avatars appear on Firefox but not IE. and now I am looking at

I keep both uptodate . I used to accept it was a prob due to using dial up but now have 1.5meg so it isn't speed. maybe IE needs active X or adobe flash.

Firefox, IE7, and IE8 all work perfectly fine here.

FF works here, ALL IEs I have used don't do pictures

FF might require some addons to be fully functional. Java, flash etc.

I currently use IE8, without issue (on OOF).

OOF doesn't use any special technologies/plugins beyond javascript. Occasionally people post utube style vids, which needs flash.

ff and ie8 working fine for oof.. :-/

imho, if you are having problems with oof (not heavily dependant on add-ons or activex) you will also have with many other sites..

try fixing each.. because their problems wont be common..
