Title: How far out is this cam timing!!!!
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 27 March 2007, 01:10:10
This is very worrying... whoever timed this up needs to be shot...pic was taken with the locking tool in place on the crank... all cam pulleys were one tooth out!!!!!!!!!!

No wonder it had flat spots and wouldn't rev very high!!! bloody cowboys :(

At least it will go together timed up perfectly!!!! :)

Possibly someone didn't use a kit?

Or did, but got crank pulley 1 tooth out, and never turned crank over and rechecked?

I suspect Jaime is spot on with his diagnosis (or the muppet used the markings on the backing plate!).

I agree too... I had one a tooth out before (but I rechecked, so no harm done!!)

Either way... what a muppet....

At least, this may account for why it didn't have much guts ;D
