Title: Computer Games - From The Past

Had a hunt for my XP Pro and Office 2004 disks yesterday (Still missing from before the move)  but cgame accross a few game disks from years ago.


Atari compendium - Space Invaders etc

Forsaken
Duke Nukeem 3D
Doom 1,2 and 3
Need For Speed Underground
Command and Conquer - Zero Hour.



Also found for the PS2

SSX Tricky
Need for speed Underground
WRC



What were your old Favourites for gaming.   :y :y

No, but i remember Halls Of The Things, Manic Miner, Attic Attack & a guy called Fred, but i don't recall the game's name :-/

Had a basic verson of outrun for the PC, they then realeased a more upto date one a few years ago.

No, but i remember Halls Of The Things, Manic Miner, Attic Attack & a guy called Fred, but i don't recall the game's name :-/
Yep had shit loads of games on 48k speccy with the rubber keys,someones got to remember them.You put the cassete in and wait for it to load,while it made that annoying screeching noise for 5 minutes,complete with lines across the screen >:(,those were the days. ;)

i used to live sensible world of soccer on my old amiga, played it to death. another early ps1 game i used to love was demolition derby. great fun. wish it was on the ps3.

I remember the commodore amiga,it was an expensive computer in its day,i think it retailed for £500 in the mid 80s,oh how times have changed. :y

certainly was!! i had 2 of them, the 500 then the 1200. cant remember exact price i paid now but it was a few quid at the time. and the games were around 25-40 sovs a go as well.still got a few of them in a box somewhere, wonder if theres a market for them? :y

I'd love to offer you a link to the 10,000 odd working ROMS I have that date back to day 1, but that would be against forum rules I'm afraid.

All the EMU's (eg, Nintendo, Playstation, Sega, etc) are free and readily available with a simple Google search, it's the ROM data you need if it's going to work (and the artwork if you want the screenshots, etc).

Still got a working Atari 1600 console in the loft, Galaxians and frostbite were my faves.

I still have 2 Spectrums upstairs. A rubber key one, and a Spectrum+. And 2 Sinclair QLs. And a Beeb. And an Amiga. And a ZX81.

found my old amiga a600 when looking for the xmas dec's,
cannon fodder on half a meg one floppy and a 42 inch flat screen....... heaven :D

and then it came up loading error cause the sound wasn't right and you had too start again :(

Had an original Atari console in the 1980's and had Space Invaders (1000's hours spent on that!), Asteroids, Night Driver, Pac-man. Had so much fun on those games! 8-)

Space invaders - in the 70,s on consoles in pubs etc.
Mario kart - on super Nintendo,still plug that one in and have a play sometimes.
Not interested in any after that.

We started with a Vic 20, where you had to type in the programme for the games over a few hours. Only to realise you had made a mistake.  ;D

At least you didn't have that poxy Sinclair power connector at the back that one of your little brothers would inevitably move just as you're about to see if it'll run. >:(
