I know some of you good folks do not like Facebook, fair enough :y
But I have a serious problem with my daughters account. A certain "friend" keeps hacking into her account and posting hurtful things. Changing information etc.
Now, she only uses Facebook from home and has not divulged her password to anyone.
How is this "friend" doing this? I have searched on the Internet and all I succeeded in doing as getting myself a virus ::) ::)

My daughter's Facebook account got hacked as well, but all that happened was that the hackers bombarded all her contacts with some rather noxious spam. Luckily, I happened to see this more or less as soon as it happened, and I warned her.
She contacted Facebook themselves and they were very helpful. They found the hackers and dealt with them, and stopped all the spam.

I accidently came across a site that gave links to other sites that provided details of accounts & passwords, but i didn't save it, because i'm not interested.
I don't know how they do it, but passwords can be found out :-/

If she is picking a strong enough password that no-one is likely to guess, then there is the real possibility she already has some sort of virii/keylogger working in the background on her own PC.
A full on check for all known sploits (malware, keyloggers, etc) is the start, once sure she is clean then it's new e-mail addy, etc.
Failing that, she could go "old school" and simply set her profile up so that only real friends can post.
Failing that she could just press the delete key, because that action alone (unsurprisingly) kills the so called cyber bullying stone dead.

It could be from apps installed to her fb,
Her "friends" have access to her email,
she needs to ensure if she uses a pc at school that no password is savedand she logs out when done
It could be her friends have put a key logger on the pc she normally uses,
change her passwords to one you set that way it won't be obvious to her "mates" as to what it is and assign fb to a new email account :y

I think I will have a word with her and make some changes. Thanks for your help fella's :y :y

Maybe this may help aswell if there finding her just by name within the search you could add a different character into her middle name , because the search goes by letters ..
I.E. - first name " character " last name
> like Tonka [ch9835] paj or for a girl > Tonka [ch9829] paj
This may help her to hide under the radar .

When you refer to a 'certain' friend, I take it you have an idea who this person is? I'm not going to say 'sort them out', it doesn't work that way for some people. But surely you could inform faceache about it.

Or you can just switch off searchability full stop.
