Is it me or has the recent spell of bad weather disengaged most motorists right foot since? I freely admit to having erred on the side of caution with the snow and ice but despite improvement of the conditions-pot holes aside!-most people are still reluctant to hit the national speedlimit . Ive seen quite a few doing 50 -60 when they could be doing 70 and today, whilst I feel 50 in a 60 was fine due to the slight fog there were some doing 35! Ive just got home and met people doing 40 in a 60 and road conditions/visibility was fine. Is it just me? :-/

No you're not alone.

>:( Unnecessarily slow drivers...they'll proudly announce "I've never had an accident !"
Yeah, maybe not, but I bet you've caused a fair few over the years !

Much of my commute is on rural roads, you need to be a Rally Driver >:( the pot holes are really bad, there is one point that if I can not straddle the white line the road tries to throw the car into the hedge, and the loose bits of tarmac, like driving on a newly gritted road. This has caused me to slow down in some places, sadly........ :(
I should add, not just pot holes but long trenches of damage.....

Know exactly what you mean there Vamps-am now dreading the long bloody delays when they eventually get round to fixing them!

there are some large lumps of the racing line missing round our way, but a slight tweek of the turn in point and most can be avoided, i reckon they (the plodding drivers) are all on the sighting lap getting ready for a good run tommorow? :-/ ;D ....maybe not ::)

I had noticed that too. But they are still shooting out of side turnings as if it's still slippery.

I do most of my driving between 9 and 3. Pensioners and young unemployed are my company. I can be behind a 20mph crawler one minute and be overtaken by a clapped out nova the next. ;D

I try to avoid paying gordons stealth tax on speed. So generally I stick to speed limits I am afraid.
It is annoying at times I agree, but I justify it like this, my funeral is ahead of me, the faster I go, the nearer my funeral is.

I stick to limits but must confess it's been nice to clear the pipes and give it a good thrashing now the roads are more friendly :y :y :y

Started, traffic lights on roadworks... ::)
Roads bad this morning so took the main road, which takes me through the town.... ::) Came home my normal route, these pot holes are serious, some are deep but some 'throw' the car sideways, so many that I cant see them being fixed quickly.... :( Lease car, so not worried about damage.... :D :D
