Aah, but there are fig rolls and there are fig rolls; own brands are nasty and even Jacobs are now synthetic, cloying rubbish, but the excellent Bolands branded ones stand head and shoulder over the rest and are my favourite biscuit-crunchy tasty outer, softer inner pastry, delicate not over-sweet tender and slightly chewy fig centre.

Irresistable, moreish and satisfying  :y

Me, I love fig rolls. But then I love most biscuits ;D.I know I should show some self restraint but I can never limit myself to just one or two with a cuppa. Its like going for a drink and just having one pint. The better half always hides them up. If we dont have any in the house it doesnt bother me,but if I know theyre there...... ;D

I'm well on course for that....diabetes in the family, I gave up smoking and I'm as big as a house.

But to give up fig rolls is to give up on life....I'll eat them while I still can  :y

I can survive the (self-imposed) ban on biscuits.  I can survive the bans on cake and sweets and chocolates and custard and suet pudding and pies and chips and crisps and jam and pancakes and bacon rolls.

But I really do want need a glass of whisky.  Or gin, vodka,  rum, brandy - I'd even drink Baileys.  :( :( :(

Well, perhaps not Baileys.

Nah. You'd only want a fag to go with it.

Incidentally, I gave up the booze six years ago and the fags nearly two years ago. I dont miss either now, but I'll have to give up the nicotene gum one day.

I'm over the ciggies now - took about 7 years.  And I've always been able to refrain from alcohol as required, but I had sort of got into the habit of knocking back  large quantities cheap spirits and Coke.  Purely to help me sleep, you understand.

And before you ask - caffeine free diet Coke. :)

So now I'm managing about 3 hours sleep a night - and it ain't enough!

Albs has got it right in his sig. :'( :'( :'(

This is a problem for lots of us, you are not alone. I find that if I have three bad nights, I will sleep on the fourth. I do have to get up and take my lad to school and pick him up etc. I think having a routine helps. Also, I cant sit on my arse when I feel tired, people to water and feed and so on.

You have my sympathy but, remember, there are lots of us about.

I seem to have been on the tinned soup again today.

Had bacon butties for breakfast.

Asda delivered.  So I tried some Baxters Lentil and bacon soup that I ordered, but prefer the heinz lentil.

tea rime had some heinz chicken noodle.

Nipped back at supper time and had a tin of asda cream of chicken followed by a small strawberry cheese cake.   :P
