A few of ours that have worked:
1/ Sky
Just spoke to the accountant who said to ring up Sky and threaten to leave as they always reduce your monthly bill for 6 months at a time. My package was £19pcm.
Just rang and now get Sky+ with 2 packages for £14pcm, with a one-off reduction to £9.99 next bill, so over 6 months this is £39 I would not have had-towards the Omega.
2/ Water bills
Welsh Water will now let you trial a water meter for up to 12 months and remove it again if you want them to. In our experience, meter saves 20%-so worth a try?
3/ Mobile phone; as per Sky, threaten to leave-we have kept our phones and gone onto "SIM-only" which costs us £45pcm for both of our phones, unlimited call and text.
4/ Insurance premium fees
Save up for any insurance (car/house etc) and pay in one payment to save interest charges and fees
5/ Discount vouchers
Before buying anything always search for the item with "discount voucher" "discount code" plus the title of the item. By searching "Stena discount code", we saved £40 on Stena Line Ferries with an Axa insurance offer; no-one ever checks your eligilbility. We got a new Beko washing machine delivered for £129 and new tomtom for £89 a while back. Always worth a few minutes.
We have hundreds of these as we live on the furry bits that fall off the shoestring ;D

Not a tip, more a way of life:
Never throw anything away if it can possibly be repaired. Use your stuff until it falls apart. Particularly applicable to Omegas.

best money saving tip i was ever given. dont get married and dont have kids. i live for the moment, enjoy myself and save if need be. i love spending my money on my kids if there with me. if i earn i give them money so they can have fun. cant see the point of hoarding money for your retirement as your too old to do most things anyway.

simple , dont go shopping.. ;D
dont go everywhere with car..use metro..
prepare the necessary list at home..
dont use visa unless the item is vital..
and if you need to buy something electronic,mechanic etc, first check from internet and ask friends..
if possible, buy second hand..

I've made a few hundred £ by doing nothing more than I would normally :D

Quidco is another good one oh and a divorce, it might cost alot to start with but will save you a fortune in the long run ;)

Stay single.
Respect equal equaliity, let them pay occasionally or go dutch.
never carry cash as I just fritter it away.
Dont bother with credit as it costs.
Use a credit card for holidays and big purchases, extra insurance cover, but allways pay the card in full by the due date.
Dont carry excess weight in the boot of the car, added MPG.
Allways keep a check on fluid levels and tyre pressures (Every little helps)
Carefull with the right foot (can be worth 10 mpg+)
Winter time
Close doors and curtains to keep the heat in, put an extra tshirt or jumper on before turning the thermastat up.

Key one is to plan. Do a shopping list with meal menus in mind. Ask yourself do I actually need to spend the money.? Could I fix it rather than throw it out? Is it a nicety or a necesity.
Of course saving money means more work. Cooking food from real ingredients instead of opening packets, tins etc. Fixing things instead of buying a new one. Growing your own veg and fruit rather than.....
The only exception seems to be cars. You can't scrimp on maintenance when you do it all your self. Perhaps the only thing you can do is to sell car when it needs big stuff like cambelt and buy another one already done.

I use http://www.hotukdeals.com/ plenty of freebies the odd free cinema tickets for films as well as discounts and good prices and vouchers :y
Other thing is look at where you are food shopping I will pickup my food shopping from Lidl quite happily I don't care that its not branded and saves a few quid as well.
I could be less heavy on the go pedal but where is the fun in that :y

I buy online as delivery is £3.50 this is also less than the fuel it takes me to get there and back, I am not tempted by instore offers and whims that catch my eye. It is stress free, No carpark damage to the car, and the delivery staff bring it indoors and put it in the kitchen for me.
Credit cards if used properly and paid before the due date can also offer free air miles over and above what I mentioned in an earlier post.

I buy online as delivery is £3.50 this is also less than the fuel it takes me to get there and back, I am not tempted by instore offers and whims that catch my eye. It is stress free, No carpark damage to the car, and the delivery staff bring it indoors and put it in the kitchen for me.

We had freesat for years, but moved house (no aerial fitted) and Sky+ were doing free install, box etc if you had the £19 package-had this for 1 year, went to go to freesat and rang as above, but feel Sky+ and the 2 mixes worth £14pcm.
Freeview is cack around here!
If moving into a (usually new) house without an aerial, just do a free sky install on the cheapest package for a year, then revert to freesat after the year-it is cheaper than fitting a digital aerial and box :y

No its not....a top notch digital aerial setup is around 70 quid with mast etc....its the rip off merchants who do th fitting that over price it and fit a sub 20 quid antenna.
And there is no such thing as a digital aerial......again miss sold.....it is but a wide band aerial (not easy with a yagi and hence how log periodics have grown in favour again)

My terminology-apologies
We are in poor freeview area, as Leominster is in a "bowl" so the local fitters had to replace our first aerial with something that picked up freeview and cost £130, plus the box which was then £50; £180-you're right though 12 x £19 = £228.
My original thoughts were based on the first time I did this and paid £14pcm for Sky including free box which came to £168, so a bit cheaper and much better reception and quality box/remote.
I'm guessing this is a local thing then, if you can all get good freeview? I'm no aerial expert but this worked for out cheaper us, but we live in a poor reception area :y
