Title: Tonka toys
Post by: cruisetopoland on 24 January 2010, 08:18:18
Anyone else into these?

I have about 35 and buy all the time-got some interesting ones now.

I think they appeal to my inner being as they are simple (!), bright and indestructible (within reason) and are the anti-dote to modern highly complex, short attention span toys.

Always interested to source them if you have any or see pics of your collection-a few friends also collect.

It all started with a resto-job I found on the local boot sale; a big 70s red and yellow dumper truck which I t-cut and tidied up, only to find the identical tiny version in the same colours at the boot the following week....

I now buy off ebay if cheap enough-got one sent last week for £2 inc postage-it came in a new jiffy bag with £1.85 postage on it....
