Title: Sad bastard
Post by: STMO999 on 24 January 2010, 18:12:28
Thought I would start a few threads before Skruntie thinks of them.

Which toilet paper do you use? I am very interested in trivia like this as I have no life.

What did people use before toilet paper ? Well, just use your imagination: grass, leaves, fur, mussell shells, corncobs, stinging nettles ... okay, maybe not that last, at least
not more than once. The ancient Greeks used stones and pieces of clay; ancient Romans used sponges on the ends of sticks, kept in jugs filled with salty water. Mideasterners commonly used the left hand . . . but for me any old bog roll that don't cost to much as it all goes down the pan
  :o

We used to have a brand at school called "Bronco".

It could have doubled as greaseproof paper.  :(

Charmin, from Makro, £6.99 for 32 rolls, and Daz washing Powder £6.99 for a 90 wash box.
All plus VAT of course, but still a lot cheaper than ASDA Tesco, Morrisons et al.

Must you finish your sentences on a preposition?  I does so upset the more fastidious reader. :)

And you use 5 times as much to get the same amount of "wipe" that a single pull from a branded bog roll will give you.

Ignoring the fact the branded stuff is nicer to wipe with anyway, the maths alone tell you it's false economy to go for the cheap stuff that your finger goes through before you are even halfway through the first wipe.

I know a fella who buys the cheap stuff because he loves it when his finger goes right through.

Yet annother sh*te thread you have started and this time you want advice on it.

Allways said you were full of it.

Also a few yerars ago a survey was carried out on germs on school PC Keyboards , most common cause came down to the fact  the hard cheap loo roll used in schools was not effective enough and led to problems with kids not wiping properly, then obviously the other major problem of not washing hands.
