Picked up the replacement alloy key today, attempted to release them bl00dy alloy nuts, drivers one put up a fight, but gave in. Passenger side, no luck :(
Cheers though TB, he knows i am weak ;D
Anywho popped it down ATS to see what they could do, young twerp behind the counter said "nothing we can do mate, take it to Vauxhall and get a new key" but i pointed out the new key did bugger all....
Thats odd mate, he said, key should do it! Never seen that before :o :o :-?
So instead went down to another tyre place in town (independent), kind gent there said put the nose in and i'll see if a gun will get it off, but not holding my breath.
I had a good feeling as i popped the car in, he stocked mainly Falkin Tyres! He could not recommend them enough, he said he's having trouble sourcing them, anyway he put the gun on, 2 seconds and it was off! :D
There was no charge either :)
Top marks for my new favorite garage :y
Right time for new pads and fluid....

Tyre Warehouse on the industrial estate?

Oh, and those crap Vauxhall locking bolts, they are best used for landfill. Useless things.

No, the one next to Tesco...

Had the same experience round here when I had a knackered key and slow puncture.
Kwik Fit: (did I mention that I was desperate?) "oooh, Naa, mate. Can't 'elp yer. Anyway, that tyre's not repairable. I could do you a new one for £(unreasonable), if you get the wheel off!" >:(
Independent tyre outfit: Spent about half an hour with a windy wrench, hammer, oxy torch, various bits and got all the locking nuts off. Charged 12 quid for the puncture repair. I bunged them enough to buy a round for persevering with the locking nuts.

The RAC got one of mine off. Also, this place is local enough.
