Title: THE DREADED LEAKY CAM COVERS..V6

Can anybody help ?Ineed 2 rocker covers for 2.5 elite as mine seem to have warped and after several gasket replacements cannot stop the "kebab shop " smell....all breathers have been totally cleaned so last resort is new covers /new gaskets GM again and more sealant..thanks guys...andrew

To stop having to do it again i would recommend that you get some metal ones off a vectra v6 and use them instead. The gaskets seam a bit more substantial and look like they'll do something and the only real difference is the filler goes to the left bank.

Have been advised that vectra gaskets are different??unsure how as engines must be the same>>what would be need to change the filler position then..would this cause more work ??

The gaskets do look different as the omega ones are 4 seperate gaskets and had a large semi-circle peice at the back, the vectra ones a one gasket per head and the semi circle bit is just a curve coz the semi circle is part of the rocker. Fittinf is just the same as doing the plastic ones and the filler needs no mdding to fit, it just sits at the top left of the left head
