Title: Hacked off
Post by: Mr Skrunts on 28 January 2010, 22:50:07
What forms is it I need from the post office for a new log book/change of address.

Can I do it online, or frint one from online (laser printer, so would be black/white)

Have just dug/found all my paper work out, and neither of the log books have the part attached for a change of address. >:( >:(

Aloso need to sorn my GLS, just found out it ran out in November, but need to do the change of address on it and never got the tax/sorn reminder forwarded with my postal redirection, (Hence not realised it had run out)

Am so peed off.

Just sorned the GLS online, it seems it has been accepted from 1/1/2010.

Just need to sort the log books now.  I have pages 3 and 4 of both cars but am wondering if they were sent offbefore I went in hospital, but they would have been back by now, and cant think of any reason the forms would have been split.

Was also mentioned there was a gap in the taxation/sorn, was sorned till end of Nov 09 and from 1/1/2010, so whats likely to happen there, Will I have to pay the back tax, if so will it be for just one month.?

TIA.   :y

Do you have the part on the right hand side that you give to new sellers? If so, send that part of the V5 off with a cover note explaining that you are the new owner and haven't recieved the new V5, then you get it for free :y. I've had to do this a few times, no way am I paying £25 a pop!!!

Cheers,
Iain

I have that part for both cars, I am not a new owner, still the current owner, just want to change the address details, which is the part thats missing, and I dont know why.

Good advice though, will do that over the weekend.,  :y
