You would wonder what the supervisory staff were doing - do they even have Station Sergeants now?
Bang to rights, what's more to be said. :y

The dedication is just not there any more. It's a different job nowadays. I know coppers who would stay up all night trying to crack a case and, despite common opinion, would not get any pay for it.
-
Love stories like this, are they really on that bad a salary in the police force that they have to take 2nd jobs?
-

it's pure greed and arrogance that just because they represent the law, they assume they are above it

I read yesterday that there are about 143,000 serving police officers in the UK.
All thing considered, we don't see that many of them getting into trouble.

Bit of a contradicting statement there! :-?
The term 'Don't judge a book by its cover' takes many forms!

And what is that, percentage wise, compared to those who work in archaic programming systems when the rest of the world has moved on year on year?
Sorry for the less than oblique reference but some of the random brain fart generalisations spewed out by some who should know better really get on my tits.....

In that case Martin, please accept my apologies. I assumed, wrongly, that you were another of those who choose to take the soft and easy option rather than thinking for themselves.... :y

On the note of coppers, there does seem to be a difference between forces. Road Wars Sky 1, cops never swear (well at least not on camera)
Essex Police in Police Interceptors do it all the time :-/
I would like to be a traffic cop, driving fast cars, nicking chav's and such. But doubt i could put up with the paper work or the years you have to put in as a beat bobby first :(

Editing plays the biggest part of the 'no swearing' thing, I would suggest. Real life or grim reality, is somewhat different....
Paperwork is paperwork, irrespective of the job, I suppose. Like any trade, however, you have to earn your spurs making the tea first off... And learn to grow a thicker skin! ;)

Indeed, amazed at the traffic cops being called everything under the sun and not reacting. Think that's quite hard to learn, to not even raise you voice to them. Top blokes :y
