Title: V6 Exhaust manifolds
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 30 March 2007, 22:54:44
Although I have got all the studs in the right place, to the correct torque... one of them felt like it was starting to "give" just a tad as I torqued it, so I didn't take it any further on that one in case it broke or stripped the thread... but it torqued OK and seems to have held.

I'm really concerned, about the potential of my gaskets leaking. I've used metal gaskets, and all seems well. I had a nasty experience with the old Elite.. and it's for some reason playing on my mind that these gaskets will blow also  :-/

No logical reason why mind....

I guess time will tell!

The first stage of the rebuild starts tomorrow at 2:30pm...

No reason they should James. If they have been torqued to the correct level and they are original gaskets mated to flat manifolds you will be fine. :)

Worrying about nothing, they are plenty of other, much worse things that can go wrong!  ;D
