We have some stock ones but for something bit more personal, sign up to photobucket, and upload your avatar there.

You just need to host your picture at somewhere like Photobox Photobucket etc etc and  post the link to there.

You over write the old one? or put it in a new location / different name

The size of avatars is actually limited to  110 x 110:

"Avatars and Signatures
Not everyone has a 20 meg broadband connection to the forum and some use mobiles/PDA's.  Please keep avatars to below 75k to avoid annoyance to low bandwidth users. Also, keep the maximum size to 110 x 110 pixels."

 ;) ;) ;) ;)

Andy:  Yours is obviously ok! 8-) 8-) 8-)

When it comes to computers, compared to quiet a few on here, I know nothing!! :'( :'(

However, I do know that when submitting your picture as a furure avatar it first must be uploaded to a hosting site - ie. photobucket - and copying just the http//.......  reference you can paste it into the relevant section on your profile.

Ensure though that you only have one http// showing once entry pasted, or it will not work.

Hope this helps ;) ;)

Tunnie beat me to it!!! ::) ::) ::) :D :D

Doesn't work. You're still there.
