Title: pc problem

i have a new folder in my computer, never noticed it before so tried to open it, cannot, wont let me and it comes up, the folder is recovery(D:)
and the box a virus or unwanted program has been detected
c:\documents and settings\richie\...\ahmedriad75_jeeran_com(1).htm
and
c:documents and settings\...\nokia-nseries-mobile_blogspot_com(2).htm

any ideas??

as soon as i delete the virus warnings or quarentine them, they come back up again. help!!!!!!!!!!!!  :(

do a scan at bootup before anything starts up :y

just scanned with adaware pro, spybot, malwarebytes, and avg. they found nothing. its in my recovery partition and says i cant delete it either and i cant open to find the file

dont know, im gonna have a nice cuppa and switch off till tomorrow, got to go out at 6am so bed for me

dont be alarmed so quickly.. if the scanners dont find anything , no need to rush..

try online scanners.. even if there is a virus, by deleting every suspicious file you would be damaging your file structure and more harmful than a virus  ;D :y

hard drive back, virus gone but now(i'm on mates pc) i have no usb ports, says they are disabled. nothing works in the ports so i cant use my bluetooth dongle or my broadband dongle says there is a malfunction.
driving me frigging nuts all day trying to get it going again but to no avail

Try to backup any documents you need and format the disc.
If you want it is maybe good to first create the  new partition if you don't have it ( use partition magic pro) and then format the partition with the suspected virus.
Before all this run chkdsk and see if there are any bad sectors on the disc.

cheers, ive just found something on internet as well that may help. extremely stresssful day today, had to get up at 6am and went somewhere for nothing, temper got the better of me and i flipped as usual. thats life i guess  :( :(

had to go back to factory settings. couldnt load any discs, no usb ports would work and everything kept freezing. so whatever i picked up is the worse ive had in the last 12 years of having a pc. luckily i put everything on disc 2 weeks ago except for about 100 albums which i have lost.  :( :)
