Title: afternoon out on the beemer
Post by: tunnie on 24 February 2010, 17:21:04
Popped down to North Oxford BMW today to get a tank bag for my GS, popped it on the bike, felt and looked good, not too big, good size, liked the way it clipped on. I asked how much it was (knowing full well its £160 ish) he came back £149, but said he would check. Back inside, he said actual retail is £165, but i can let you have it for £149  :D

Also picked up one of those plugs for canbus lead, to tap into some power. (you reading this TB?  ::))

It appears to give good wind protection, felt a lot less wind buffeting blasting along. Front spring loaded clip attaches just below headstock, rear clips onto the bottom of the fuel tank, nice and solid. Release the zip to lift the bag up & allow re-fueling.

Top section can be extended giving about 40% more space, just release the zip, got a bum bag at the front too, so can pop wallet in that, and just un-clip it when at the petrol station.

Was a wet day with lots of showers, but went out on a 60 mile around trip, even in bad weather was good fun, with some tunes on  8-)

looks a good buy, i like tank bags, good use of space, protected, cant forget it and spew contents behind you like a ruck sack or pillion bag under a cargo net, transparent map pocket on top. Only thing is they tend to catch muck undernieth and scratch the tank, but yours looks like it'll keep that to a minimum. Plus the fueling issue but thats no biggy really. :y
