Title: Annoying as kcuf

I don't know why it annoys me, but it does.
Posting in the Newbies Section.
Why start with the newest members & work your way down :-?
I've just come on line, done as i always do & visit Newbies first. Only to find a long line of just one member welcoming Newbies from the newest first & in doing so has pushed quite a few of the new members down to page two. One member hadn't even had his post read.
I welcome them, because i feel it's important to make them feel welcome (especially from long standing members). I remember when i first posted on here & it was quite daunting.
I know it's really nowt to do with me & i'm just like everyone else, but it's common sense, isn't it ::) ::) ::) ::)

I agree Pete, when welcoming newb's I start from the bottom upwards. That keep the newest at the top.

Perhaps it is character building for the ones who get knocked off the page with a low reply count? I got 13 replies to my hello, must have got knocked off the page pretty quick :D but luckily Im just an annoying brat who keeps posting anyway!!!

I agree though pete, but I guess there isnt a way to change the way the newest started topics stay near the top no matter who replies??

(P.S I must start saying hello in that section, regularly forget that part of the site  :D)

I have to say that I have been guilty of this on ocassion and it is purely because I have never even thought about it :-? :-?

Now that you have said it it makes sense and I will start at the bottom from now on :y :y

Another aspect is welcoming people from "long ago" .. just to gain post count...

(there have been welcomes for folks who joined on 5 Feb / 26 Jan etc etc done today .....  which is my definition of "long ago"   :)

Awwww c'mon Entwood, you know peeps ignore the rules when it suits, couple more pages he then has a choice, He gets to sell a load of parks or TB waits till he gets to number 250 and NUKES them.   ::)

I used to do that for exactly the same reason, never occurred to me until someone pointed it out   :-[
