Love all their stuff, especially "Out of Our Heads" but would have to say my favourite Stones period was from 1968 (Beggars) to 1971 (Exile), but my personal track choices could include ...
1. She said Yeah / Mercy
2. Sympathy for the Devil / Prodigal Son
3. Gimme Shelter / Love in Vain
4. Can't you Hear me Knockin'
Commendations for much maligned-at-the-time "Satanic Majesties", now a highly sought after Psyche classic, and "Some Girls", best of their latter period, and "..Babylon"
8-).

I Wanna Be Your Man - fast and furious with an excellent bass line.

Never been a huge fan but Brown Sugar is probably my favourite of theirs.
I think they should have packed it in and retired when Mick Taylor left tbh, its embarressing to watch Jagger prancing about like a geriatric ballerina these days, very undignified imo.

Many bands/artists should've quit while they were ahead. Bowie..What was let's dance all about? Stones, Voodoo Lounge? Oh dear. Sting? Should've shut up after the Police. Elton
john??? Benny & the Jets was brilliant as was he in the early 70's. Since then...stupid outrageous hissy fit queen.
Loved T.Rex. Glad Bolan did'nt get a chance to go the same way, he died at the top of his game.

I would tend to agree Guy, although some of the 60,s generaton did carry on producing good music and retain their dignity as well imo. :y
